Emmanuel Praise Church's History

With a heart to help the hurting and see people walk in freedom and victory, Pastor Joe received a mandate from God to establish Emmanuel Praise Church in 1994.

He held the church's first worship service in the living room of his personal home with only nine people in attendance. Over the years the ministry has grown and become widely known by its burning desire to feed the hungry and lend a hand to help people go from living under the circumstances to living above them.

The congregation moved from the Wingo's living room to an old feed and grain store, adding children's and youth services, an hour of power prayer service on Tuesdays and two services each Sunday.

On August 11, 2006, EPC celebrated its grand opening service when it moved into its present location, the 600-seat sanctuary at 490 Unisia Drive in Monroe, Georgia, known to across the nation as the Home of Angel Food Ministries.
